Recommended Dog Food

We recommend feeding your new puppy Victor Nutra Pro, which is a super premium kibble known for its high protein content. All of our dogs are fed this food, and we have found it to be highly beneficial for their health and well-being. We have included a retail bag of this food for you to take home.

Free Feeding Method

Our dogs are free fed, meaning we keep their bowls full at all times. The dogs eat as they wish, coming by to nibble whenever they feel the need. This approach helps prevent food aggression and resource guarding, as the constant availability of food ensures that the dogs do not feel compelled to overeat.

Benefits of High Protein Kibble

Because Victor Nutra Pro is high in protein and does not contain excessive fillers, our dogs tend to eat less food compared to diets with lower nutritional value. This results in less waste, making cleanup easier, and the dogs' stools are firm. Additionally, we have found that our dogs do not require their anal glands to be expressed, which is an added benefit.

It is important to note that Victor Nutra Pro is a black kibble, which means your dog’s waste may also appear black. While black stool can sometimes be a warning sign of blood in the stool, in this case, it is simply a result of the food. We like to inform owners of this in advance.

Puppy Food Transition

Puppies are weaned off their mother using Royal Canin canned puppy food and are then transitioned to Victor Nutra Pro. We provide a can of Royal Canin puppy food for you to offer your new puppy as a treat. We recommend giving only a few spoonfuls up to a quarter of a can at a time.
